My first ATC package! And what a treat it was! I didn’t just get my zentangle ATC (on top of the pile) but also an extra ATC from the artist from Ohio, United States. Some beautiful vintage backgrounds and both ACT’s were packed in a cute bag with nice ribon. The envelope was tangled too. So, I might say my first ATC package was a big hit.
For those of you who aren’t familiar with ACT i’ll explain a bit. ATC’s or Artist Trading cards are little cards of 2,5×3,5 inch (for me that’s 6,3×8,9 cm.). The size is taken from the base-ball cards in Armerica.
The cards have to be traded, not sold! Any media works: pencils, paint, scrap-booking, ink, mixed-media, … as long as it is in the right shape.
There are many ways to swap. You can put a set of ATC’s on your flickr acount and tag them ‘available’ and go looking for others who have tagged theirs.
Off course there is swap-bot, which I’m testing to see if it is useful to trade ATC’s of my students with next year. And the Zentangle inspired art or ZIA group hosts ATC swaps too!
If you want to start trading keep in mind to put effort in your ATC. The little piece should be a real work of art! See it as your signature traveling all over the world to be seen an appreciated.
